Sustainable construction

When it comes to sustainability, the impact of our own four walls is increasingly coming into focus. By consciously choosing suitable and certified building materials and products and by remaining vigilant on the construction site, every building project can result in a more sustainable and healthier building.

Labels

At Würth, these three certifications take center stage

Ecolabel logo

European Ecolabel

The official ecolabel of the European Union is only awarded to environmentally friendly and healthy products and services. The strict criteria assess raw material production, the entire manufacturing process, the use phase, and disposal or reintegration into the cycle.

Emicode logo

Emicode

With Emicode, the manufacturer-supported association GEV assesses the emission behaviour of installation materials and construction products and assigns these products to a category. Products with the EC1+ label are "very low emission" and are therefore the safest choice for keeping indoor air free from harmful substances.

Cradle to Cradle logo

Cradle to Cradle Certified

The Cradle to Cradle Certified label is awarded to products whose design and production are fully based on a closed raw materials cycle. This goes far beyond products for which "only" recycling or disposal options are offered. The label takes into account material health, circularity, clean air and environmental protection, water and soil management, and social fairness. The certification is divided into the categories Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
